The 2020 Collective

A community for visionary women creators and change-makers at the intersection of creativity, entrepreneurship, and transformation.

Join now

What if you could create...

An expansive, collaborative relationship with time?

An electrifying and reliable creative practice?

A trusting and truthful relationship with yourself?

What if you could integrate...

The fire of your ambition and your simultaneous need for space and stillness?

A work process that works with—not against—your biology?

Your multifaceted passions and visions into a streamlined focus?

So that you can finally...

Own your value, your voice, and your story without apology.

Stop sacrificing your body on the altar of your creative work.

Build an aligned team and inspiring community of collaborators.

And you can ultimately...

Create days that make you proud and a body of work that makes you prouder.

Become beloved by your audience and in demand in your industry (without defining your worth by validation or being liked).

Make quantum—not lateral—leaps. Entirely on your terms.

These are the things we were not given permission to do, shown how to do, or told it’s okay to want.

So we’re changing that.

Together.

It's beyond time.

When women gather, magic happens

Combining conscious community, accountability, learning, and transformational coaching, The Collective is strengthened by the diversity and pursuits of its members—multi-faceted, ambitious women playing big and making waves, including...

Entrepreneurs, authors, directors, thought leaders, producers, painters, photographers, bloggers, coaches, actors, dancers, choreographers, copywriters, teachers, activists, playwrights, professors, podcasters, movement makers, healers, philanthropists, graphic designers, founders, speakers, course creators, and many intersections in between…

You can find plenty of industry-specific communities where you are surrounded only by people on a similar path as you, but our community is specifically for women across disciplines who thrive at the intersection—of art and business, of change-making and entrepreneurship, of creating and leading, of being and doing—where you can be all of who you are and integrate all of your multitudes in one place.

Because when creative women are given a safe and flexible space to bring all of who we are to the table (especially the parts the world told us were too much), we become unstoppable.

Results.

Fueled by the support of the community, Collective members have...

  • Published books
  • Started businesses
  • Started movements
  • Received next-level commissions
  • Won awards
  • Built their teams
  • Booked dream jobs
  • Attracted dream clients
  • Doubled their income
  • Landed next-level management
  • Been accepted into top festivals and fellowships...

And joined forces to...

  • Collaborate on projects
  • Share feedback & cross-promote each other's work
  • Heal their relationship with their bodies
  • Foster real friendships
  • Offer solicited advice
  • Share resources
  • Throw parties
  • Encourage each other on the rough days
  • Help each other see the forest through the trees when the thicket feels unbearable

Over the past four years, the women of the Collective have proven that women move forward faster—and more joyfully—together. Period.

The world needs more women-driven stories, ideas, leadership-teams, and art

Our 2020 Theme = Radical Flourishing

Quarterly themes are announced as we progress.

As we uncover the edges of our ambition and power, we are expanding, amplifying, and sourcing the ancient feminine wisdom deep within our bones.

While the current systems slowly disintegrate, we are sharpening our resilience and increasing our capacity for leadership, prosperity, and visibility.

We are simplifying, trusting ourselves, and exploring exponential achievement without defining ourselves by it.

If you are ready to make waves amongst wondrous women—join us.

"It's amazing to have a circle of compassionate and supportive women, and a coach like Liz who is deeply empathetic and makes you feel like it’s okay to be exactly where you are, and also like it's totally possible to get where you want to go.

If you think you are on the precipice of something special, but you need courage to lean into it, then this is the place for you. It’s important—and profoundly valuable.

You need this. It's like air."

"Since joining The Collective I’ve booked a network television show, several independent films, and am on the precipice of working with a new and improved management team. There is a lot of supply in this business for people who can tell you what to do, and I haven’t found those groups to be effective or supportive, but this is a group where I walked in and realized I’m actually getting what I need, and I’m getting it from a supportive group of women.

This space is really safe, really uncompetitive, and really effective for finding different parts of your artistry that can feed you. You gotta have it."

"Being a part of The Collective has been a game-changer for me; instead of struggling on the creative battlefield solo I'm reminded that I am part of a community of fierce badass women who are not only battling with me but redefining their lives on their own terms.

Being a part of this group has helped me become more grounded, more appreciative, more focused, more strategic, more assertive, and even happier with the way I have chosen to live my life."

"Liz Kimball has the greatest superpower I have ever encountered. She is remarkable. Distinct. A soul-whisperer. My work with Liz has been utterly clarifying and life-changing. She is a leader and a lighthouse for women, and her work is more necessary now than ever before."

Here is the most important thing: you are exquisitely whole.

Right now, in this moment. Exactly as you are.

Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise — that their 10 secrets are the answer, that their way is THE way, that you will never be who you’re supposed to be without first buying this or eating that or joining here — is part of a cultural structure designed to profit off of your not-enoughness.

And that framework is rooted in a system that was not designed for your highest success.

When we have the bravery to stop listening to the tsunami of scarcity that our society relentlessly reinforces, we start to hear things.

Ideas. Intuitions. Inspired action. The sound of ourselves.

And this is the sound that will build a new world.

But it can be challenging to forge your own path.

The doubt gets loud, the imposter syndrome eats you for breakfast, and the perfectionism–even though you have read all the books and listened to all the podcasts—can still feel unbearable.

This is because those disruptive messages of unworthiness and insecurity belong not to you, but to the culture that made you.

And we can't heal what isn't ours to begin with.

It's time to release the old smallness so you can devote your energy to the creations and visions that you were born to bring forth.

Let this be the year that you...

  • Start the project you have been dreaming about
  • Do less and receive more
  • Become so addicted to the flow of creativity that you don't have time for comparison or giving all the f*cks
  • Spend more time generating and less time responding to others' needs
  • Let yourself want what you really want and go all in
  • Develop a spiritual practice that expands your life
  • Name, claim, and package your ideas
  • Ethically expand your visibility so your work can find the audience it's meant to find
  • Create support systems that will allow you to grow (and rest)
  • Ditch trying to squeeze yourself into someone else's system, tune into your rhythms, reclaim your time and flow, and surprise yourself with a year of prolific output
  • Find a constellation of women who inspire you, and allow yourself to feel supported by community. Maybe for the first time ever.

Because being this kind of creative visionary (and thank goodness you are) can often feel lonely, confusing, and scary.

It can be helpful to have a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without needing to have your ducks in a row, the perfect soundbyte, or all of the answers about your life—and experience the real kind of support that will empower your next becoming.

Clarity. Creation. Connection.

These are the 7 core frameworks we focus on in The Collective to support your alignment, your visions, and your creative flow:

1. Clearing
  • Stop listening to advice that wasn't designed with you in mind.
  • Start listening to what you've always known.
  • Let go of limiting patterns of behavior and thinking that are not serving your purpose.
2. Clarity
  • Invoke your big vision.
  • Channel your energy into a streamlined set of projects so you can wake up purposeful, spend the day feeling alive, and go to bed feeling proud of your day.
3. Commitment
  • Galvanize your multiple facets and skillsets into a dynamic platform built around the intersection of what you stand for, what the world is calling for, and what you naturally do well. Then go all in.
  • Build trust with yourself by doing what you say you are going to do and experiencing positive cycles of success and completion.
  • Utilize the meetings and the support of the community to stay accountable to what matters most.
4. Creation
  • Create time and space for your creative practice and to fill your well of inspiration.
  • Move more effectively and distinctly between the different phases of the creative process: generating, editing, packaging, and marketing.
  • Take the lid off your creative process and make the work that is calling to you.
  • Actively develop deeper levels of mastery in your craft, artistry, and leadership.
5. Consistency
  • Discover your sweet productive spot between structure and freedom.
  • Establish regular creative and entrepreneurial systems that allow you to flourish.
  • Create boundaries necessary for you to sustain and grow.
6. Confidence
  • Allow yourself to become seen, heard, and known in a way that takes care of your heart.
  • Build your courage muscle and do the next brave thing even when it feels uncomfortable.
  • Learn how to communicate with power and presence to amplify your work and strengthen your leadership.
7. Connection
  • Attract audience, collaborators, and colleagues who align with your values and work.
  • Stay in integrity with your personal boundaries as you expand your digital and live presence
  • Be radically supported by a community of like-minded, powerhouse women.

"I joined The Collective several years ago, at a point in my life when it seemed like nothing had “turned out” the way I’d envisioned. I was lonely and stuck and feeling disillusioned when I found Liz and fell completely in love with her authenticity and mission.

The fact that the meetings were online was a HUGE advantage for me, and these monthly check-ins became a bright spot on my calendar.

Liz has helped me to create space WITHIN myself.

The Collective has provided me an opportunity to show up for other women, and to have a forum that is equal parts class, church, brunch with my badass friends, and a TED Talk has been deeply healing and inspiring.

What’s unique about The Collective is that it is facilitated by Liz, but it is not ABOUT Liz, which can be the vibe with many coaches and guides and leaders. Liz is inspiring to me because of her humor and humility, and because she is IN-PROCESS, and sharing her conscious evolution with the rest of us.

Through my work with Liz and The Collective, I am more able to protect myself, advocate for my children, am actually learning what I need by redefining how I listen to myself.and most cherished of all: Found My ”No.”

When we set aside time each month to focus on what has worked, what we would do differently next time, and when we make space to celebrate our GOLD: it is much easier to find a through-line in our own narrative. Now I see more readily how the generative process not only serves the production of my creative contributions, I am also better at trusting things to unfold (perfectly) in their own time.

The Collective has been the only constant in my messy momming life for the past year and a half.

Minimal financial investment, incalculable positive impact. I can’t stress enough what a gift it has been to be a part of this community."

Because courage is contagious

Our intention is to create a brave and energizing space for all parts of you to expand to their fullest potential and create your biggest, boldest, most uncompromising work, while enjoying the pleasure of being in a radically supportive community of others who are doing the same.

Because the world needs more women-driven stories, ideas, leadership teams, and art.

Because we rise higher (and more joyfully) when we do it together.

Because it's beyond time.

The Womanfesto

(Or :: Why I started The Collective)

1. We are in need of a seismic shift. The Future is female. Nonlinear. Nonbinary. Creative. To reclaim peace and integrity the world and our creative industries need more woman-driven stories, ideas, leadership teams, and art.

2. We cannot break through alone. The only way we will get where we want to go is to radically support each other like we've never before been supported, consider each other's victories as our own, and whole-heartedly commit to our collective rising.

3. Most of the ways we have been taught to think about achievement are based on a Patriarchal operating system that was not designed with our success in mind. We must cultivate bravery in discovering and articulating our own path to rising, which will begin with a reclamation of our visions, intuitions, voices, desires, emotions, and bodies.

4. It is time to start asking for - and if that doesn't work, demanding - what we really really want. Let's start going for the no and see how many yeses we get.

5. It is important to stop letting our limitations be what make us unique. We need to let go of being really hard on ourselvesfeeling like fraudsconstantly comparing or being chronic worriers as the things that make us special. We are much more special than those labels.

6. History and legacy are equally important; we must share our stories and also our dreams.

7. Worth is our birthright. To do the work we are here to do, we will need to cycle out of the multi-generational patterns of shame and unworthiness.

8. We need to talk more openly about money and its relationship to how we value ourselves (and also how we will make more of it).

9. We are inherently multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. Breaking through demands we throw out the narrative about doing only one thing and respect our intersections and multitudes like the superpowers they are.

10. Saying no is an empowered, strategic, and spiritual practice we need to hold ourselves accountable to more regularly.

11.  We must do the difficult work to prohibit our internal dialogues from mirroring the same bullies we are protesting against. We need to demand justice and respect internally so that we are walking our talk when we are fighting for it externally. We must make the sound of our collective purpose louder than the fear.

12. No. More. Apologies. The best thing we can do for the world is replace pleasing, sacrificingaccommodating, and carrying others' burdens with playing big and unabashedly committing to our own greatness, creativity, and expansion.
